Building A Personal Web Again

In 2005, Simon Carstensen and Aaron Swartz co-founded Infogami as part of the first Y Combinator batch. They wanted to make it easy for people to create and share their ideas on the web. From that work came the original Jottit in 2007, a simple way for anyone to make a website.

Nearly twenty years later, Jottit is being rebuilt from scratch with the same idea at heart: a web that stays easy, open, and personal.

Jottit lets anyone create a website instantly. There is no tracking, no followers, and no algorithms. Just your words on a small site that is yours.

It's open source, built on web standards, and designed to last. You can see how it works, fork it, or run your own version whenever you like.

Want to peek under the hood, fork it, or run your own? The entire project lives on GitHub, and contributions are welcome via the contribute page.

If you’d like to support its development or help keep it independent, visit the contribute page or email hello@jottit.io.
